Who We Are

Studieren Ohne Grenzen (Students Without Borders) supports young people from regions in the Global South whose public (educational) infrastructure has suffered due to crises and, in some cases, violent conflicts, making it inaccessible to many. By awarding scholarships and supporting local educational institutions, the organization enables people from these regions to access higher education. The young people supported by Studieren Ohne Grenzen aim to contribute to the sustainable reconstruction of their countries through their own projects and to shape the future according to their vision. All SOG members are volunteers.

Our Projects

Currently, we are running projects in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sri Lanka, and the West Bank. Find out more about our work here.

Many of our program group meetings take place online, as the programs are either managed by several local groups together or consist of members spread internationally.

We assign new members concrete tasks from the very beginning, depending on their time and commitment; this way, you quickly get to know the organization and can actively help shape it. Possible tasks include participating in the selection processes for scholarship programs, communicating in English or French with the target regions, or organizing fundraising events.
